“Even with my three kids,
I can work out five days a week!”
“When I first heard about Move it Momma’s format from a friend, I thought, “What a good idea… if you like to work out.” I, of course, was too glued to the couch to even consider going. Then a breast cancer scare made me reconsider my need for regular workouts. I tried the “big box gym,” but I had to get up at four in the morning just so I wouldn’t have to use their childcare for my three kids (7, 3, and 1). Then I tried Move it Momma. I was hooked!
I’m now a recovering couch potato. Their schedule of classes means that even with my three kids, I can work out five days a week. The workout classes are the latest format, so I don’t have time to get bored with a routine. I used to get intimidated by the “fitness robots” at the front of the class—at Move it Momma, the instructors are funny and friendly, even the “hardcore” ones. It feels like having a semi-private personal trainer; they’ll take the time to make sure my moves are right and effective. And the class sizes are perfect—I don’t get lost in the herd, and I can see what the instructor is doing.
Best of all is the childcare: my kids want to go to Move it Momma. They aren’t parked in front of an age-inappropriate video for an hour, or, in the case of my one-year-old, put into a bouncer until he starts to cry and someone has to come and get me. They are playing with toys, doing crafts, and working on homework. My seven year-old won’t let me leave without him on Saturday mornings—he’ll willingly give up cartoons to go to Move it Momma.
Move it Momma is my place to get a fun, uninterrupted workout, a place where my kids are cared for by affectionate providers with a program created by an engaged and enthusiastic educator. It’s a place where everybody knows my name. A Move it Momma membership is giving the gift of time and good health to myself, without the guilt. I’m becoming the fierce, fabulous momma I want to be, one class at a time, thanks to Shelby and Tracy at Move it Momma.”
